Same way Religious people do. We have a ceremony, words are said, food is eaten and drink is drunk. It's probably not done under God or in a Church. But it's a ceremony about the love between two people.
Many Atheists don't get married and live happy lives in long-term relationships or get engaged. But marriage is way down, compared to the amount of marriage there used to be.
yes buddhist do celebrate marriage
Yes, so tibetan just celebrate marriage. I guess that celebrating marriage's just the way thing flow
they celebrate Christmas but not in a religious way.
Marriage
Just like anyone else! Birthday celebrations rarely have anything to do with religion.
muslims celebrate marriage in a mosque. this is there holy place they vist to pray for god! _____________________________________________________ Muslims celebrate marriage in mosques, hotel celebration halls, gardens of private villas and houses, in big restaurants, ... etc
have fun**
I don't think it's just atheists who feel this - some people of all kind of beliefs and philosophies feel that marriage is not for them.
yes
Probably "Celebrate our Wedding". Also, "Witness the marriage" would be more proper than "celebrate" which implies a party instead of the sacred vows of a ceremony pledging ones lives to each other until death.
Out of respect and conformity. Most Atheists don't try to convert people into atheists - they just want to be respected and for the world to know that they exist and shouldn't be disrespected. To show respect for others' holiday, we say Merry Christmas and truly wish people who do celebrate it have a joyous day of Dec. 25th.
Of course other people can celebrate christmas. Christmas is a tradition, and it is more and more celebrated by christians and atheists alike. Christmas has become much more of a family thing as opposed to a religious thing.
