Some of the changes that occur when a chick grows into a rooster is they have the ability to crow, they grow a comb and they get bigger. When a chick becomes a hen, their reproductive system becomes fully developed.

I have raised many baby chicks and they are very easy to raise. They eat out of a bowl on there on. I kept mine in a box with a lamp on them to keep them warm. But they do chirp....loudly I you have one alone they will chirp all the time so always have at least two. they are very sweet animals and make amazing pets. Though when you get a chick at a very young age then always get a extra one because at least one will probably die unless you are very lucky. I have had many litters of chicks and never have they all survived. but overall chickens are amazing pets and hey! Free eggs:)
