Although we can't smell bird food, birds can! It's surprising this is true but it is. Birds can smell seeds and nuts from long distances. If you have a birdfeeder and birds aren't eating from it you could try putting perches and/or a bird bath near the food. If this doesn't work try getting a different brand of bird seed.

Hope I Helped! :)

Why are crows banned as pets in the US?

well for some odd reason they are one of the species of birds that have been put on the migratory bird protection act. which is really weird since that unless a mob of crows has imprinted on a particular person they usually stay in their home terratory their entire lives. if you would like to see American crows removed from the list of birds that the act protects contact your local senator or congressman and ask them to do something about it itterasshai ka'ge

What is the food of the blue jays?

Thebest you can do is to try to put it back where you found it, if not, get bred and milk and feed the bird 4 times a day and when it's ready to fly, please let it go. Remember the bluebird is one of the native birds and is illigal to have one as a pet.

What to feed a baby crow?

Check with your local pet store. Food will depend upon the age of the crow; i.e. it might be very young and was still fed by the parents. Bird pellets might do the trick. Crows will eat practically anything, but the bird will be afraid and should only be offered small portions. Make clean water always available. Check with your pet store and vet to find an animal clinic or carer who can take care of the bird; this will give it a better chance of survival. Even if they can't take it, keep in touch for ongoing advice.

I have a Diamond Dove and want to know what other birds it can live with. i bought a huge cage and want to put more birds but don't know which one can liv with my Diamond Dove.?

Well a dove can get along with almost any bird because it is not like a parrot who sees other birds as prey. You can put birds such as finches, canaries, parakiets, maybe even a cockatiel. I recemmend not to put it in with other birds because it will change their behavior and in some situations diffrent breeds of birds get so attached to each other they mate even if their not the same species.
