In the wild Burmese pythons start of in life as mainly arboreal (tree dwelling) as they get older they become solely ground dwelling. They live in Burma hence the name. Their diet would consist of large rodents for example rabbits and sometimes even larger animals like deer. The bigger the meal the longer the snake can go without eating. They love water and can stay submerged for up to half an hour.
