The 05+ Tacomas are very similar. This is how I do it on my 06:
Remove two 10mm nuts that secure the intake cover. Lift the cover up and remove from hinge.
Remove the air filter (two clips), then the filter cover by detaching from the intake hose (10 mm nut).
The passenger side coil packs will now be visible. Unclip the wire first, then remove the 10mm bolt. Pull the coil pack out. Use compressed air to blow out any debris from the plug well.
Tape a 5/8" spark plug socket to a ratchet extension (or two). This will keep it from getting stuck in the well. I also have a set of long needle nose pliers when this fails. Remove the plug. Put a clean rag in the hole while you get the new plug ready. They should come pregapped. Put antiseize on the threads, and install. First rotate clockwise until you feel a click. This is the threads engaging. Now carefully tighten the plug until snug. I believe proper torque is 8-10 lbs/ft but I usually go by feel.
With the plug firmly seated, put the coil pack back on (some put dielectric grease between the coil pack & plug). Tighten the 10mm bolt, and secure the wire clip. Repeat for the other two plugs on the passenger side.
The working area is a little tighter on the driver side. To do the rear two, you may need to remove the metal brace between the intake and the block (15mm I think). You'll also need patience and small hands to get the coil packs out.
