open glove box, pull tabs on inside right and left that are stops for glove box, (note how they come out) swing box all the way down, you are now looking in at filter door (mine is white) open clip on one end and swing open, there is a tab you pull out for the first filter, you will have to wiggle a bit to get all the way out. then slide the secont tab over to opening and pull just like first one, reverse to reinstall new ones. good luck putting those stops back in to keep box from swinging all the way open and make sure they snap into place

There is no cabin air filter on the 2006 year model of the GMC Yukons and Denalis.
I have a 2003 (may be the same for your 2006) and the cabin filter is behind the glove compartment. I had to remove the glove compartment and then I could get to the cabin filter to replace it. Kind of hard to get to, but I was able to do it myself.

Purchase a Purolator Cabin Filter, it comes with detailed instructions or you could just look and see if it is in the same place.
The cabin filter is on the passenger side, near the middle of the dash.

It is behind the bottom glove compartment.
The cabin air filter is located under the passenger side of the dash on a 2006 Grand Caravan. Slide the filter door to the side, and the filter will slide out for replacement.
GM decided to remove the cabin air filter option starting in all 2005 trucks. You do not have a cabin air filter in your '06 silverado.
