All horses can eat to (and over) their capacity simply by grazing, so if offered the right amount or an excess of food Clydesdales will be able to meet their need as well as any other breed of horse.
However if Clydesdale, or any other breed, are left without or a deficient amount of food then they will not be able to meet their need and will lose weight and condition.
