== == I really wonder how concrete pumps work, liquid (fluid) concrete has a big viscosity, how the pump overcome this big viscosity. I witnessed many times every couple seconds maybe 4-5 seconds the machine emits a loud thump. I think that sound come from pnomatic part of the machine. If anyone know how is it working, I will be glad to hear it, I wish Merry Christmas to all.

This depends upon the type of batching plant, some are mobile and some are so enormous that they can't be mobilized easily.

Concrete batching is a process where cement (Portland or any other type) is mixed with fine aggregate (sand especially pit sand) and coarse aggregate (graded crush) as well as with water.

In some countries it is done by mobile concrete bathing machine. A more advanced version of this machine is the tetradecagonal (14 corners) egg shaped mixer which does 30 to 60 rpm. For large-scale projects it is employed with an Archimedes' screw which picks up the ingredients, mixes them and then conveys them to the mixer.

Sometimes, this batching machine may be fixed onto a truck which carries the raw material and once they reach the site, the site plant equipment mixes the concrete.

This consists of a tube which is pentagonal to octagonal shaped inside. Sometimes iron balls are dropped inside to aid mixing. This process is carried out very carefully because:

1 Concrete must not segregate

2 Concrete must be ready and conveyed then used before its initial setting time which is 30-45 minutes.

The choice of equipment used depends upon the scale of the project.
