I'm almost ten, but I do know that crawfish do NOT hibernate. If they live in a pond, they just dig deep into the mud to stay warm during the winter. I live in Tennessee, and every spring, my dad and I drive 30 min. to go to a two-foot-across pond to get some crawfish. When we get home, we feed them to the Blackbirds. But in two days, it will finally be warm enough to go catch crawfish! I can't wait! this year I will put them in a tank, and keep them as aquarium pets. And if you do not know what to feed them, I am going to feed mine shrimp pellets from petco.
they don't go anywhere. they stay in their regular habitat .
They burrow down in the mud... or use a tight rock to hibernate son a rump a tun tun.
