A crocodile will build her nest on land near the water's edge and lay her eggs there.
No, they are carnivores. They lay wait in the water, blending in with the muck in the water. When a herd stops to drink the water, the crocodile strikes. It grabs the leg of it's prey and pulls it into the water to drown. If the prey is being difficult the crocodile preforms the "death roll". The "death roll" is when the crocodile rolls furiously to twist whatever is in it's jaws in hopes to rip it off. They sometimes use the "death roll" just to rip chunks of meat off of the body of the prey.
A crocodile could kill a buffalo if it attacked it in the water, but the crocodile would die if it was fighting the buffalo on land. If the crocodile is large, the buffalo would have a hard time stomping it to death.
