In the late 1970's President Carter responded to the Fuel crisis in many ways. He hadsolar panels installed at the White House, that President Reagen had removed. He enacted laws for controlling oil pricing and import/export caps that President Bush Sr. & Jr. had repealed. He even had a great program set up for exploring alternative fuels production... Well budget cuts... the results of the research that was completed have sat in the University of Hawaii for the last 25+ years... Then there is what President Clinton did, and had repealed by Bush Jr. who's great grand dad, like the Kennedy's great grand dad, sold Oil to Hitlers Germany to make their fortunes...

This has nothing to do with the several ideas I have sent to the Department of Energy, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in the last 5 years. I was told don't call us, we'll call you.... Well close, "Unsolicited entries are not being accepted at this time" was the message I believe... I got 9 of them!

Many countries are doing a lot in "green" research. Such things involve more eco-friendly cars and factories. Most countries also recycle products like glass, aluminum, and paper. A large portion of the world also participated in Earth Hour 2009 and Earth Day every year.

In the UK we are starting to put green labels on products you buy in the supermarket. Check out the link below. Consumers need to be informed how to shop green, as consumerism is one of the main causes of environmental degradation.
