Because dingoes are vertebrates and placental mammals, they reproduce sexually. The breeding season for wild dingoes is Autumn/early winter (March through to June), and the young are fully developed when they are born. Their gestation period is around 63 days, twice as long as kangaroos. Dingoes tend to mate for life. Because they are mammals, dingo pups feed on mothers' milk, but unlike marsupials, they do not need to remain attached to the nipple.
Dingos are from the same species as dogs, and breed the same.
