How do efforts to supply water to humans affect the environment?

in doing so, we of necessity take water away from other areas. many of these areas have little or no water to spare for their own needs. also dams are usually needed, which have many environmental impacts, from flooding surrounding lands to killing fish (both directly & indirectly).

not really because it kills animals which will affect the food chain underwater. BUT it is good when humans hunt in moderation so the ecosystem stays stable and we get an infinite supply of food. ( infinite as in slow, steady source of food) and humans sold to get money.
