One important carbon cycle occurs as carbon dioxide is captured by plants and, during photosynthesis, the Sun's energy is used to dissociate the carbon and oxygen from the CO2. The carbon is used by the plant to build tissues while the oxygen is emitted into the air.

At a later time the plant is burned, maybe as fuel or in a forest fire. The burning press reunites the carbon and oxygen, producing carbon dioxide, and the original energy is released as heat.

Some plant material may be left in the ground for millions of years until it becomes coal, oil or gas. In this case, digging it up and burning it produces new carbon dioxide that the short-term carbon cycles can not absorb. This causes a buildup of CO2 in the atmosphere.

How does the carbon cycle work with the nitrogen cycle?

Both of them are different, so both cycles work together. The carbon cycle lets out carbon dioxide and it then transfers it into the trees. The trees get the nitrogen and the cycle starts again.

How does the carbon cycle work in water?

Carbon cycling is complex when interacting with water. When released by respiration, itÍs combined with water to form bicarbonate and carbonic acid. In aquatic environments most carbon is in bicarbonate form.

How does coal work?

when coal is burned.Electricity from coal is the electric power made from the energy stored in coal. Carbon, made from ancient plant material, gives coal most of its energy. This energy is released when coal is burned.

How do matter and energy work in the compost?

[1] Basically, all living things are made up of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. That's what they become once more when they die and decay. [2] And that's what happens in composting. Matter breaks down into its building blocks of carbon and nitrogen, with the addition of hydrogen by applying moisture and with the addition of oxygen by letting in air. [3] Energy is generated, by the build-up of temperatures within the pile. The temperature gets high enough to speed up the breakdown, but stays low enough not to catch on fire.

What is oxygen-carbon dioxide cycle?

1) Ambient oxygen in the air is breathed in by an animal/human2) This oxygen is diffused into the bloodstream in the lungs3) The blood is then oxygenated and sent to an area of the body where a cell will use it to create/use ATP to produce energy4) Within this process oxygen is absorbed and CO2 is released back into the bloodstream5) The blood goes to your lungs and is then diffused back into the ambient air6) This CO2 molecule makes it's way to a plant where it is absorbed and brought into the chloroplasts7) Within the chloroplasts the plant changes uses the CO2 to create it's energy stores of Carbohydrates8) Within process 7 there is an abundance of oxygen released from the CO2 molecule which is released into the air and then begins the process againA:The Carbon Dioxide- Oxygen Cycle relates to the relationship between Carbon Dioxide [CO2] breathing plants and Oxygen [O2] breathing lifeforms. All oxygen-breathing lifeforms take in Oxygen and exhale CO2. Plants take in the CO2 and use it in their photosynthesis process and in turn give off oxygen. A:The Carbon Dioxide-Oxygen Cycle is a continuously occurring process whereby animals inhale Oxygen and then exhale Carbon Dioxide, and plants use the CO2 and "exhale" O2. A:Plants and other producers use carbon dioxide in photosynthesis. They produce oxygen as a waste product. Carbon dioxide movesfrom the air into the leaves of plants. Oxygen moves from theplant into the air through the leaves.A:Almost all living things, including plants, get energy from cellular respiration. This process releases energy from the sugar moleculesin food. Oxygen is used in cellular respiration. Carbon dioxide isproduced as a waste product.A:The oxygen produced during photosynthesis is used in cellular respiration. The carbon dioxide produced in cellular respiration isused in photosynthesis. carbon dioxide and oxygen move through the ecosystem in this path called the CARBON DIOXIDE-OXYGEN CYCLE.A:During photosynthesis, algaet green plants take in CO2 from the air. They use CO2, along with H2O and the sun's energy, to make their own food (respiration). In this process, O2 is released as a waste product. Plants and animals need this oxygen to release energy from food.A:During photosynthesis green plants take in CO2 from the air. How do plants cycle carbon and transfer energy from the mitochondria to chloroplast?

the chloroplasts and the mitochondria work together by trading nutrients. Both the mitochondria and the chloroplast create energy, the mitochondria create energy via respiration when there is no sunlight for the chlorophyll,

What kind of carbon cycle?

Carbon cycle is a type of Gaseous cycle.Biological/biochemical cycles can only be either Gaseous or Sedimentary. I hope it will work :)

Does energy contain matter?

No, energy an matter are different phenomenons. Energy is the ability of a system to do work (ie to move matter). Matter has mass, and is related to energy by E = mcc.

How do cellular respiration and cells get energy to do work?

Cellular Respiration releases chemical energy from sugars and other carbon based moecules to mae ATP when oxygen is present. It is an aerobic process. As for where the energy comes from, the Krebs cycle jumps in.The Krebs Cycle produces molecules that carry energy to the second part of cellular respiration. Hope this helped! -Biology Textbook

What is energy matter in science terms?

Energy and matter are the complete contents of our Universe. Matter is any particles that have a rest mass. Energy includes matter, as rest mass is just a particular type of energy. Energy is the potential to do work.

Which term is the ability to do work energy matter mass or valume?

The capacity to do is matter energy power momentum?

The capacity to do work is energy. Mass is the amount of matter. Power is work over time. Momentum is the tendency for matter to remain in its state of motion.

How do organs use oxygen?

Organs are a collection of tissues, which are in turn a collection of cells. Cells produce ATP from glucose and this processes (glycolysis and then krebs' cycle) require O2 to help form CO2 to release energy from the carbon-carbon chain. Watch a video on how the kreb's cycle work and watch for the oxygen that is inserted in the system.

What differs between matter and energy?
