The South Asian country of Bangladesh is extremely vunerable to anual flooding and major cyclones. Located on the northern littoral of the Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh has a wet and marshy coastline. Bangladesh is situated at the point of confluence of the Ganges, Brahmaputra, the Meghna Rivers, and is thus heavily affected by flooding and monsoons. In the 19th century six notable floods were recorded in the following years: 1842, 1858, 1871, 1875, 1885, and 1892. In the 20th century eighteen major flood were recorded, including those of 1987, 1988, and 1998. The 2007 floods also affected many areas in South Asia including a significant one in Bangladesh. Floods occur annually in Bangladesh primarily between the months of July and September. Overall Bandladesh is exposed to an average of 2 floods per year affecting a little more than 40 million people annually.

yearly. melt water from himalays, low lying, lack of vegetation for interception causing overland flow, funnel shaped bay of bengal all contribute

It happens in rainy seasons especially spring
floods usually happen when there is too much pollution in a country but it also happens when a country contains a lot of rivers like Bangladesh

The difference(s) between floods in the UK and Bangladesh are in Bangladesh, the dirty and clean water mixes together and contributes to the formation of diseases in the water. This also happens in the UK; however, the UK can afford to buy clean water for drinking in these cases.
