Gears move by the teeth on the gears. When you rotate one gear, the other one moves because the teeth pushes each other away, but just won't get away from each other so they just keep spinning and spinning!
truck start shift is hard to move in gear
No it does not.
the gear you have it in might be neutral.
When the shifting linkage is disconnected the car will appear to go into gear but not move. The car will not move when the transmission fluid is low.
Press the gear lever down and move it to the position of gear 1. It is located below gear in a press position.
maybe not in gear
Yes, for example you would want to move a gear so you would pull on one side of the pulley and it could get where you want it to get.
absolutely!
Need more infomration - please be more specific. Will it start? If it starts, can't you get it in gear? If you can get in gear, it won't move? What????
it does not move when in gear
You ease off on the accelerator and move the gear lever.
It will move for you, in fact the higher the gear the easier it will be to move. When you push the bike and begin to rotate the rear wheel with the trans in gear you are rotating the crankshaft of the engine, jumpstarting the engine for all intensive purposes.
