Goldfish breathe by drawing in oxygenated water through its mouth. It then closes its throat and forces the water through gill openings where the oxygen in the water is absorbed (inhales) into the fish. The water is pushed out through the gill openings, taking with it the (exhaled) carbon dioxide and ammonia.
The gills in fish are the equivalent of lungs in humans. Oxygen gets inhaled through tiny membranes in the lungs or gills and CO2 (and ammonia in fish) is exhaled.
With their gills of course!
Like every other fish?
they breath with their gills
by drinking the water
cause it can breath better
They don't. The constant 'Mouthing" is how they breath.
a goldfish lives with water to breath in if there overfeed they can still live they just need water to breath you should change the water evrry week if you cange it before then a week they get sick then they die
of cource not it has clorine and dye and flavoring THAT WILL KILL ANY FISH
Goldfish need water to swim and breath in, not mud. There are some species of fish that have evolved to survive in mud but Goldfish are not one of those species.
no because they could not breath they'll die
Because they get used to the air around them so the water becomes that temperature.
No, however a goldfish will greatly benefit from having one. An air pump provides an added source of aeration which increases the levels of dissolved oxygen in the tank. This in-turn makes it easier for the fish to breath.
In nature there are many kinds of tiny macropods, microscopic algaes and other things in the water when goldfish breed in spring under normal/wild conditions. These 'baby goldfish foods' can be purchased at most good pet shops
Well, considering that goldfish do not breathe air, they can live without it for as long as their normal lifespan might happen to be. Some goldfish only life for up to about a year and a half, while others can life for as long as 25 years or more. All without taking a single breath of air.
