How do guinea pigs drink water?

They use their tongue.

They hit their tongue on the little metal ball on the inside of the water holder, and a drop of water comes out.

I know this was not asked, but if you have a guinea pig, make sure to put vitamin C droplets in their water. They cannot produce Vitamin C themselves. You can purchase these at your local Petsmart.

In the wild, pigs ate roots and nuts which had fallen from trees, particularly acorns. They used their shovel-shaped noses to dig in the dirt to get food that was buried. Domesticated pigs eat whatever is fed to them. They are omnivores and will eat anything.
