Jehovah's Witnesses use The Bible as the foundation for their beliefs; because we view the Bible as accurate and truthful; as the word of Jehovah God.
Some things in the Bible we understand to be 'literal'; while other areas we consider as 'figurative' or perhaps even 'symbolic'. Usually the context helps to determine; but sometimes there are other areas in the Bible which helps in how to understand a specific verse.
For example: Many people have been taught to believe in a god who 'torments eternally' those who do not accept Jesus. They see the word 'torment' and 'eternal' and think it means 'literally'. They are drawn to such a god; even to the point of worshiping that kind of a god.
But Jehovah's Witnesses connect things with other scriptures which tell us about God's personality. Elsewhere the Bible states: a) that 'God is Love' and Compassionate; that he is kind and merciful. b) The Bible also states that 'mankind' was created in God's image. c) So we connect all these ideas, come to some logical conclusion that any scriptures that 'sound like' eternal torment, are really to be taken 'figuratively', not 'literally'.
For example: Humans were 'made in God's image'. But humans do not approve of 'torment'. We create laws against it. We label 'torment' for what it really is: ABUSE. We figure: If our neighbor was 'tormenting / abusing' a child, we would call the authorities (the police) to put a stop to such torment. Next we figure: IF we humans (who are made in God's image) IF WE would not tolerate 'torment'; How much less would Jehovah God tolerate it? He has MORE LOVE and COMPASSION than we do. Therefore: If we (as humans) would not do it - - by the process of deduction, -- Jehovah would NEVER in a billion years approve of it; let alone foment it. What kind of a god is that, who would torment eternally? We would never worship such a god.
That's somewhat the process of HOW we believe, the way we believe.

NO. Spiritualism is detestable to Jehova (god). As it should be to us.
Of course not. Believing is what you perceive to be in a sense of truth. You can believe God exists without any reprimanding punishment. How could it be false witness? There is nothing false about it. If you believe in God, then to you, He is Truth in all forms.
her parents were jehovah witness. and she grew up in a family of jehovah witness. i don't believe she practiced it much after her career started but she did pray and all that good Church stuff so i guess she was jehovah witness.
