How do hippos catch prey?

Their mouths can open to four feet tall, and female hippo's have a bite force of 2000 ponds of pressure. I read somewhere that male hippo's bite force has not been measured, because they are too aggressive. So the answer is, Hippo's kill with their powerful jaws and razor sharp teeth.
