Some horses benefit by having hard hooves because then when they gallop or run they don't get their frogs (soft part of their hooves) cut. So it is very beneficial for horses to have hard hooves.
If they had paws it would be hard for them to balance where as they have hoove they can balance alot easier .. also you cant put shoes on paws
Cows do have feet, but they are known as hooves. They are hard, like a horse's hoof, but are cloven, meaning that they are divided... like having two "toes." A cow's hoof has a hard, rubbery sole and a hard, outer covering of material like horn. They grow constantly and need to be worn off or trimmed.
A horses foot is called the Hoof. The Hoof is the hard part on the bottom of the horses leg. Horses hooves are like our fingernails, actually they are made out of the same thing.
yes. the frog is the middle of the hoof. yes and it also protects the horses tender hooves from hard soil and rocks or other sharp objects
I believe it would be great to be able to run across open prairie and have no fence to stop you. I also think the life of a wild horse can be very hard, like avoiding predators and round ups, but nice to be in the company of others the whole time. no one really knows for sure.
NO! They have hard hooves like horses or cows.
Yes they are. Even though donkeys have these type of hooves and it is easy for them horses have a hard time with this type of hoof. It tends to make them off balance, and hard for them to run properly.
Goats, sheep, cattle and horses have these types of hooves
To stop their hooves wearing down on unnatural, man made, hard surfaces.

Wild horses can be used for many disciplines when trained to do so. I know many people who prefer to use mustangs for trail riding because they have very sturdy and hard hooves. But mustangs can be used for most all disciplines regular horses do. An example is mustangs would probably make a good endurance horse because of their hard hooves and stamina.
