Unbolt shackles. Raise vehicle slowly by frame or chassis, on lift or jack. Shackles will separate from leaf springs as the chassis is raised. Install new shackles in reverse order. It is a piece of cake, even for a mechanically challenged person.

Can you put 31X10.50 on a 1992 S-10 blazer with out a lift?
NO!!!! But you can install 30/9.50R15 on with out a lift. Though you can gain up to four inches of lift with shackles in the rear and cranking up the toursion bars up till you only have an eighth inch of threads left. Rear shackles can be made at your local Fab shop or if you have the know how and tools you can do it. I personally will be selling lift shackles and instruction on eBay in the near 2008 future.
