If it's your truck, and you're in a country where truck speed limits are not dictated by law, you simply go to a dealership or mechanic shop certified to work on the Detroit motors, and have them change the ECM controls. If it's not your truck, and you want to drive faster, I'd recommend you buy your own truck and pay for your own fuel.
It is not recommended by the manufacturer to remove the speed limiter on a Fiat Doblo. The speed limiter is installed for the safety of the vehicle operator.
155 mph before the Speed Limiter kicks in. If you disconnect the Speed Limiter, the top speed is approximately 167 mph.
Get whatever software corresponds to the engine you have (Detroit Diesel, Mercedes-Benz, Cummins, and Caterpillar engines have all been available in Sterling trucks at some point), along with a diagnostic link adapter (NexIQ is compatible with all of them), connect to the ECM, and change the parameters.
120mph with the Governer limiter. without Governer limiter, 155mph.
No, you need the actual software to do this (e.g., Insite for Cummins, Davie for PACCAR, DDEC for Detroit Diesel, etc).
1400 RPM after you have gone through the gears and at road speed.
You do not get rid of the speed limiter. It is in the engine control computer and you would have to have it reprogrammed.
With speed limiter ive had it up to 68 and that's stock how it came so my guess is with out a speed limiter around 80-90
The engine computer does act as a speed limiter.
the speed limiter is 150 i am still not sure of the top speed
It has no governor. Speed or revs are computer controlled. The best way to alter the speed or rev limiter (changing rev limiter is really risky in my opinion) is to order a power program from Hypertech ( Power Programmer III) or Diablo Sport (Predator). This will allow you to make numerous setting changes that are completely computer controlled.
