It's not as difficult as it looks. 1. Take off the step, pull start, and shift pedal. This will make it a lot easier to work around the bevel case. 2. Take the four bolts off of the back of the gear case that connects the drive shaft. They are tricky to get to but it can be done. 3. Unbolt the exhaust from the front of the motor and move it out of the way. 4. Take out the four motor mount bolts that hold the engine in place. One at the top, two at the back of the motor, and one up front right under the exhaust hook up. 5. unscrew the back carburator clamp so that it can slide out of the air box. 6. Take out the three 8mm screws and the three 10mm screws that hold the bevel gear case in place. You might have to use a flat head screw driver and gently pry around the case to break it loose. 7. Take a rachet strap or have a friend push the top of the engine towards the front of the bike, this will roll the engine forward and will let the bevel gear case clear the frame so that you can take it off. 8. Make sure both faces of the area where the gasket sits are clean. Put the new gasket in and put everything back together, making sure all the screws to the bevel case are tight. 9. Put new oil and filter in and crank it, let it warm up to running temp and check for leaks. 10. If no leaks then you are ready to ride! Hope this helps!

Changing gear oil in rear end of 2003 mustang?

well, it may sound like a pain doing this. But you have to pull the rear gear case. I recomend backing all the bolts about 3/4" off, then taking the bottom half off all the way, and with an oil pan ready, just pull (or pry) the case away from the gasket. I strongly recoment changing the rear gasket when doing this, since the case is already off...
