You can use a usb webcam and if your windows xp or vista doesn't recognize your plugged in webcam, you can install it by downloading the driver on internet. http://www.computerspclaptop.com/asus/asus-eee-pc-1008ha-seashell.html You can try to use a different webcam with your Eee PC by plugging one in through the USB and choosing the USB decide as an alternative to your built-in webcam.

ASUS Eee PC 1005HA Seashell 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU Netbook Computer has a built in cam
An acer has a webcam and microphone built in.
Built in webcam can be used by camera applications. Camera applications create intent for Webcam in it.
It is a webcam that is built in. A webcam is basically a computer camera which can be used online in programs like skype and msn, and if it's built in, that means that it's actually BUILT IN. Got it?
people can just go to the store and get people to fix it
The same thing happened to me after I upgraded to Windows 7. Apparently, Windows 7 automatically installed the drivers for my webcam. After I updated my webcam's drivers using the Driver CD that came with my laptop, everything now is working fine. I have an ASUS K40IN with a built-in USB 2.0 1.3M UVC webcam.
It is an interface that allows differ apps to share ur webcam
