I would first suspect the coil pack or the plug wires that lead to the misfiring cylinder. On the 2.4L check the coil housing carfully.It has metal strips that can burn in half.Could be spark plugs, or low cylinder compression, or low fuel pressure, or vacume leak, or leaking EGR valve, or faulty fuel injector, or burnt valves.
