you should hear something it does not have enouph power if not than you have to open it to see if it need to be changed
you don't. 2003 Toyota matrix xrs does not have a timing belt. It has a timing chain which never needs replacing.
Dealer says it never needs to be replaced.
timing belt, if it needs it change it because these engines eat them selves if they break.
It has a timing chain. It never needs be changed.
I timing chain rarely needs replacing. A timing belt needs to be replaced at the interval specified in your owner's manual. Don't have one, get one.
needs oil change... needs oil change...
Timing chain usually needs to be replaced each 180-200K miles.
the warning lights comes on indicating that the timing belt needs to be changed. even once the timing belt is changed, the warning light will stay on until is it reset.
60,000 miles under severe conditions, 90,000 under normal conditions. 1999> Celica's with VVT-i & VVTL-i engines do not have timing belts, they have timing chains. This is not a routine maintanance item and only needs to be changed if damaged or excessively worn.
There is no scheduled replacement on timing chains (only on timing belts). Therefore, it only needs to be replaced if it breaks.
sounds pretty close. sorry.
The 3.4 liter V6 in a 1998 Toyota 4 Runner has a timing BELT Yeap ant 3.0 and 3.4 has a timing belt that needs attention after some miles check your service records...
The fuel filter is in the gas tank and is an integral part of the fuel pump. Theoretically it never needs replacement (there's no maintenance schedule for it). Cheers
it is a timing belt and it is quite simple to change.if the belt needs to be changed, go ahead and change the water pump.trust me!!!
Yes. And it has a timing belt that needs to be changed about every 90,000 miles or so.
the service manual says needs to bechanged the timing belt every 60K miles.
A 1999 Toyota Camry needs four quarts of oil :-)
the timing belt needs to be replaced every 100,000 KM. I would change it a little prior to that. If it breaks, you can bend your valves.
Needs to be done by a motor mechanic I was quoted £130
Remove the timing belt cover and inspect the belt or change it every 90K miles.
That engine uses a timing chain which never needs serviced under normal conditions.
If you have been installing the timing belts yourself, you may not be adjusting the tensioner correctly. Also, the valve train may be binding, causing unusual stress on the timing belt. And timing belts are not expected to last hundreds of thousands of miles. My Toyota Corolla needs a new one about every 60,000 miles.

Timing chains usually do not need to be changed until an engine needs to be overhauled. You may need to change it if it makes a weird noise, other than that you should be fine.
No Camry has ever had a v4 engine. There is a v6 and an inline 4 cylinder. The timing cover typically needs to be removed making it an ideal time to also replace the timing belt. this is a fairly complicated job and is often best left to a qualified technician.
