I have done the swap twice , it is nice to have the engine mounts from another truck of the same year , then they will bolt to the frame .. GM drilled all the holes ever needed to accommodate any engine available at that time .. the 2 biggest obstacle will be unbolting the mounts and getting a shorter radiator shroud as well as getting a newer radiator to cool the bigger engine..............
