I'm not being obvious, you replace it. Where is it at or what is it doing? You either expand it or squeeze it together depending on what it is doing and located. Any snap ring sits in a groove. If the groove is towards the inside of the ring, you can usually just slide it over whatever you are working on and it will drop into place. If the groove is outside the ring, you have to compress it to get it in, or start on corner of it in the groove and work it into place with a flat screwdriver. Don't know if this helps.
Right side of dash, open pass door, it's on side of the dash behind snap panel.

first take off the cv nut i think its 36mm then take out the ball joint nut 18mm.use a "fork" to loosen the balljoint, then peel back the boot clear as much grease as possible from the inside of the cv joint.inside there is a snap ring holding the cv to the shaft.you will need a snap ring plier.while holding the snap ring open hit the cv with a hammer outwards of the shaft.it should come out easy.
It is easy to replace the window regulator or window clips on the rear window of a 2000 Grand Am. The clips simply snap right onto the rails inside that door that connect to the window.
You have to pull off the door panel. There are screws behind the door handle and behind the reflector. The light unbolts with three bolts. Than you need to pull the wiring harness. Doe this in reverse order for assembly. If you snap the plastic pins on the door panel new ones can be purchased at any auto parts stor.
They came out in 2000

To change the battery in a Chevy Venture key fob, first, locate the small notch or groove on the side of the fob. Use a flathead screwdriver or a coin to gently pry the fob open. Once opened, remove the old battery, usually a CR2032 or similar type, and insert the new battery with the positive side facing up. Finally, snap the fob back together and test the buttons to ensure it works.
