If you think of all the stories of heroism you have ever read or heard, you can see that there are many ways--probably more than one person can imagine. But most of them are not things that can be planned ahead. Most of them involve a response, and often a very fast response, to a sudden or unpredictable situation.
If you have that kind of heroic nature, and you find yourself in that kind of situation, it may just be automatic and instantaneous for you to perform a life-saving action.
