Icebergs are giant pieces of ice floating through a body of water. They are created when bits break off of a glacier or an ice shelf.
They break away from glaciers and float for long distances and periods of time. The part under water is bigger than the part showing outside so how long it will last? it all depends how big. Some break up as they flip around due to this diferences in size inside and outside the water and as they break they also form smaller units of ice which also keep floating making seas look like a maze of ice bits.
First, a glacier is formed. After that the glacier falls apart in the spring/summer when the ice melts. The water eventually wears down the ice to create a smooth surface. Then you got yourself an iceberg!
An iceberg forms when a large piece of ice breaks off a glacier or ice sheet and floats on the water.

Ice bergs
Ice sheets aren't underwater, they are entirely sitting on land. Ice bergs, on the other hand, are about 88% underwater.
Calf bergs are small icebergs that are calved, or broken off, from larger icebergs. They typically range in size from a few meters to tens of meters in width and height. Calf bergs can pose a hazard to ships and navigation in areas where they are present.
Because if all ice bergs around Greenland were to melt then it would increase the global ocean level by hundreds of meters. Major cities such as New york, Washington and London would all be under water.

No. Because in the artic ocean there are ice bergs. The titanic was sailing in the ocean and hit an ice berg.
