I wish you could talk to the girls who look back on their preteen and early teen days and wish they had never even learned how to kiss till a long time later. Let me say that if you want a relationship with a guy that will be important, you will let a guy, whatever guy, be impressed with you because they like the way you are. They need to like you as a person. They need to know that you are someone they can rely on and depend on and trust. If a good kiss is all it takes to impress him, he doesn't want much out of you that isn't cheap and easy. And he will drop you like yesterdays trash when another girl comes along he hasn't "tried out". He may be nice, he may look good, but if he is worth spending your time on, he also needs to be someone that would think you were cheap and trashy if you kissed him to impress him. There are many kids now days that do not have a very healthy home life and their parents don't teach them like parents used to. One reason for that is because the grandparents didn't teach the parents right so the parents don't know that they are not raising their girls properly. If some of the other kids in school think that you are too easy or loose or skanky in grade school or Jr. High (even High School) they will start talking to others about you and that will label you for many many years in the future.

If a boy shows you that he likes you, that's great. But don't give him everything you got. If you have been close friends for a long time and some time comes that you and him end up in one quick, short kiss. Treasure that. Remember that it happened and that it was special. But if it happens all the time and if it is some slobbery wet kiss that went too far for someone your age, you will wish it never happened and you will want to take it back but you can't. No one can protect yourself as good as you can when you are in a public place like school.
