You can keep a horse clean by doing mainly two things which would be grooming them and blanketing (only recommended in winter). Or of course you could keep your horse in a stall to keep it from rolling but make sure to turn it out to the pasture every once in a while.

Usually horses are blanketed to protect them from weather or keep them clean. They can also insulate a horse from severe wind and cold. Saddle blankets keep the saddle clean and protect the horse from pressure points.

How often do you clean your horse?

You muck out your horse's stall once a day, and twice a day in the summer (because of more insects/parasites.) You give your horse a full grooming at least once a day. You don't groom your horse as much if he/she lives outside, because you don't want to remove the natural coat oils that keep the horse warm. Keep your horse healthy and happy!!! : )
