Heat is transferred in three ways. Conduction, convection & Radiation.

kettle of water conducts heat by direct contact with heat. This is by the process called conduction. Hot water will rise up as it is less denser than the cold water which is heavier, and it helps in heating the entire water in the kettle.

Yes. In fact metal kettles do so exceedingly well so as to enable heat to be efficiently transferred from the stove to the water inside them, enabling you to boil water quickly.

yes solar heat can conduct electricity

What materials conduct heat and which do not?

Insulators do not conduct heat and are therefore non-metals. Metals do conduct heat, and vey well may i add. But, for the record, you're thinking of electricity. Potatoes conduct heat, and they're not metals. No because there is nothing to conduct heat

Do gasses conduct heat?

yes gasses conduct heat :D the level of conductivity depends on the density of gas , the more dense it is the more will it conduct the heat .

Do inductors conduct heat?

conductors conduct heat and electricity, and insulators keep the heat in. inductors give away energy as heat.
