As with most insects, ladybird beetles (family Coccinellidae) lay eggs. The female ladybug lays upright clusters of 10 to 50 oval-shaped, tiny, yellow eggs. Eggs will be laid on the underside of leaves in proximity to aphid colonies so hatchlings have immediate food sources.

Ladybugs produce larvae and that larvae will stay in the egg of the ladybug until 2-5 days until it goes into its pupa.
