The ignition key fits into a "hidden" slot in the rear wheel well. It is pointing the key upward into the lock found on the edge of the rear fender. Turn the key and it releases the mechanism that holds the seat in place. Once the seat is released, pull it towards the back of the bike, and up at the same time. Replacing the seat is just guiding it into place (there's a "tongue" at the front that fits into a slot), and pressing down until it clicks into place.
The 2006 Honda CBF 250 seat is held in place by four retaining bolts. Remove the retaining bolts to remove the seat.
