A rodent might excrete on people that they are comfortable with, or who they like. I've had a few mice who did not seem to like others, and did not excrete on them, but whenever I held them, they were usually calm and sometimes did crap or pee on me. It has been known in a few other cases who had mice, gerbals, or the like.
