∙ 14y agoA baby Gambel's quail (VERY small) ended up on our back porch. He hid under a planter and remained there for one day without a parent showing up. What can we feed him? He doesn't seem to eat the tiny songbird seed I bought for him. if you 100% that he is on his own i would take it in and put it under some sort of light of in a very worm room try and keep the temperature around 35 degrees. try and give him so chick stater and tape it with your hand, because his mum would do that to show him the food. or some mini meal worms. and put some sugar in look warm water for the little guy, had hope for the best. i have done this with one that a found and is still alive today. all the best George.
