It would seem that monsters can somehow slip between the cracks in their home dimension into our space/time continuum. The cracks seem to exit into our world in a variety of different places,such as under various beds as an example along with closets,attics,basements ect. This could also be why monsters like Bigfoot,Nessie,Mothman ect can have so many reports from people seeing them but no one can ever capture one of the beasties. They just slip back into their home dimension of monsters. If you have repeated encounters with monsters in your closet or under the bed chances are you have what amounts to an interdimensional off ramp into our world that the monsters seem fond of coming to alot. One experiment you could try would be to get one of those haunted mirrors that seem to be sold on eBay alot nowdays. They supposedly have a ghost trapped inside it or traps spirits somehow. Maybe you could take the haunted mirror and stick in under the bed or in the closet so it faces where the monster will enter our dimension. The monster then steps through his entrance into our world and walsk directly into the realm inside the haunted mirror-assuming that the mirror hasn't been "corked" magically to keep the spirit from escaping the mirror. The monster may wind up trapped in the mirror along with the ghost. Oh well at least they can keep each other company. I wonder how many monsters you could stuff into one haunted mirror that way until it gets full..... Someone will have to try it and post their results.
After all that has been said, I would add that monsters do not exist and you can sleep in peace because they are not coming to get you. Monsters and ghosts are mythical creatures that can neither be explained, nor eliminated as an option. Though the greater chances are that they do not exist. Don't worry, you don't have monsters underneath the bed.
