How do orcas socialize? Well, they are very loyal to their mothers. Some orcas won't communicate with another orca unless their mother has first communicated with said orca. They communicate through a series of clicks and whines. Also, it is believed that the act of tail slapping or flipper slapping is used to show signs of distress. Orcas are very social and will swim up to another orca and rub themselves against their body. This is a sign of friendliness.
