Peachfaced lovebirds are larger and more aggressive. They play harder too. It would not be good to house masked and peachfaced together. Outside of their cages, play should be supervised.
Yes.
Nope! I got my lovvie (owners sometimes call them lovvies) for 50$ from a pet store. Some might advise a good breeder with hand-fed lovvies as my lovebird was crazy, terrified and loved to bite. A good lovebird that's handreared tends to be a little more expensive and sometimes they don't ship the birds but I think it might be worth it. The price? All lovebirds = $50+
I heard somewhere Lovebirds live in the savanna
lovebirds are called lovebirds because they are a symbol of love.
Lovebirds live in small flocks and eat fruit, vegetables, grasses and seed. Black-winged Lovebirds also eat insects and figs, and the Black-collared Lovebirds have a special dietary requirement for native figs, making them problematic to keep in captivity.
I have a lutino peachface and I heard anywhere from 15-30 years.
The Lovebirds was created in 2007.
Lovebirds symbolize love, affection, and companionship. They are known for their strong bond with their partner and are often seen as a symbol of deep, loving relationships. In many cultures, lovebirds are also associated with devotion and loyalty.
