you can't really choose to be emo if that's why you want to know i wouldn't say that you want to be emo. its really hard. people hate emo people for no reason honestly it may seem cool, but if you can't handle being emotional, don't be emo emo people are angry, confused, or depressed. but if you are emo. be emo and proud make sure you have friends to back you up its not only how you feel but how you dress and the music you listen to

Well, SOME of them do. Like happy emo, people who's style is emo, but the person wearing aren't emo, smile and laugh. Others, maybe not. Most do, but they are very outgoing, and the regular emos, I don't know. ask one of them.

yes it is considered emo. not as emo as if you were cutting yourself, but bruising yourself on purpose is not very good to do!i know emo people and they bruise themselves as often as cutting!dont do it!it's not healthy.

Well... I first KNEW i was emo when i started getting depressed, and i started runnin' with the "emo crowd" and i started not following rules and i was cutting and crying all of the time so i knew i was emo. and also when people started to tell me i was turning into an emo kid.
