There are scripts that you can find online that can be added to your blog and it counts how many people are currently viewing your blog and how many people have been on your blog since a certain date. I have tumblr, and there are many blogs that have this.
It depends on how you promote your blog. If you write about things that people are searching for you might see traffic from search engines. If you are blogging through a website that promotes new blogs posts to their homepage you might get traffic from there. There is a lot you can do to promote your blog so other people know it exists and then check it out for themselves.
The Poptropica Creators Blog is only for the people who work at Poptropica. There is no blog or bulletin board for users there. There are some third-party websites that have interactive blogs completely unrelated to the official site. (see related links)
