How do raccoons get into houses?

They make a big hole that can fit with their bodies. I do have a big hole in my roof before where mostly Raccoons here in Canada stay which is in the attic. Sometimes they find a way-hole underground and break windows. That's why the Critter Guy Covered everything in my, especially on my windows.
