Make sure your engine is cool before proceeding.
- Drain some radiator coolant from your radiator to bring the level down
- Disconnect the top radiator hose and by pass hose from the water pump to the intake manifold, this is located at the front of the engine, the top radiator hose is connected here.
- remove the thermostat housing, and old thermostat.
- clean the surfaces of the thermostat housing and intake manifold, remove all old gasket meterials.
- place the new thermostat housing in place with the pointed end facing the front of the engine and apply the new gasket, and then put everything back together.
- top off you coolant.
