The first inhabitants of the Americas (Paleo-Indians) are thought to have crossed an arctic land bridge from Siberia, that existed during glacial periods of the Late Pleistocene Age, as early as 45,000 years or as little as 13,000 years ago. At the time, much of Siberia was a warmer steppe climate.
Later, glacial melting raised sea levels and covered this path with the Bering Strait.
Scholars believe the first people who arrived in the Americas came from Russia. They believe these people crossed the great ice bridge.
Native Americans
It is thought that humans first arrived in the Americas via a land bridge that connected present-day Russia and Alaska.
Some people refer to the time before Europeans arrived in the Americas as Pre-Colonial days. The Europeans went through a period of Renaissance before the Colonists first came to the Americas.
no one is sure how the first people got to the Americas or when they arrived. most historians think they came to North America from Asia by 12000 BC. they probably walked across a land-bridge that crossed the Bering strait
Very brief, however, the first people who arrived were (arguably) said to be the Dutch. However, the others who also arrived earlier on than the colonial era, likely made it with the use of ships or boats.
Scientists believe that ancient peoples first arrived in the Americas by crossing a land bridge known as Beringia, which connected Siberia to Alaska during the last Ice Age. These early migrations are thought to have taken place around 15,000-20,000 years ago, as nomadic hunter-gatherer groups followed animal herds into the region. Over time, these populations spread and diversified across the continents.
Through DNA testing, scientists have determined that the first aboriginal people in Australia originated from the Indian subcontinent. When they migrated to Australia, they arrived via a series of land bridges.
The first explorers who arrived in the Americas encountered Indigenous peoples who had been living in the region for thousands of years. These encounters were often marked by cultural misunderstandings, conflicts, and the exchange of goods and ideas.
Vegetables were growing wild in the Americas long beforeany people arrived. Since there was nobody around to study and record them, it is impossible to know which ones developed first.
