Yes they do because a screw has an inclined spiral wrapping around it, which when "Screwed" into something, has a greater grip than a nail
If we are speaking of only one fastner, then the bolt, especially if used with washers are far the best. It depends on how the boards are oriented. If you're trying to strengthen two planks (flat side to flat side) and you have the room (after they're installed) then bolts, washers, lock washers, & nuts are the best. Screws set in at angle will hold better than nails. If this is a permenant application, you can use liquid nails, but it really isn't necessary.
A screw holds wood together better than any nail because it resists being pulled out much better. A screw is also easier to remove without damage. However, screws are more expensive to make and take longer to put in, so nails are still used in a lot of timber work.
When you use srews to put an item together it is always easy to take back apart. And the do hold better than nails.ANS 2 - Screws also make projects MUCH safer. -I just heard about a home owner near me who made a deck at the back of his home (8 feet high) using only nails. The first house party he had, the deck collapsed sideways, injuring 6 people !
Nails are sharp pointed and are hammered into wood. Bolts are threaded and are inserted into drilled holes in metal or wood or plastic and a nut is screwed on the threads to hold the bolt in place.
A screw fastens a material to another material. Screws have different shapes and sizes. Such as a screw can build a chair together. Screws can fasten things so they would not fall apart. Screws can be used for making toys and to hold wood together. also it is one of the simple machines
Screws hold better, but stainless steel nails last longer. Why not use stainless steel screws? They're the best of both worlds.
liquid nails
Screws and nails work from the material behind the top layer, e.g. the inside of a door or wall. So regular screws and nails will not hold when the inside is hollow. However, you can buy special screws with a stabilizer at the end so they have something to 'hold' the screw into and against the door.
it hold things like nails screws and other stuff. they hold them into places like on walls and other places
Screws are used to hold things together. They can be used in place of nails, where a nail would not be a good fastener is where you would want to use a screw.
Depending on the application, a screw will hold better than a nail. Screws can shear or break under loads that a nail would more easily handle though. This is due to how the two are manufactured. Screws are turned out of the machine that makes them almost as if they are being carved to give them threads which can weaken them. Nails are stamped to form the head and there are no threads, which gives them more strength to withstand loads
umm i would say screws because they hold in better

Glue, nails, screws, nuts and bolts, staples, string, clamps, and so on.
wet...predrill for nails before you drive them inANS 2 - If you're driving nails in, why bother to glue it. - I would glue it, then clamp it with woodwork clamps and it will hold better than nails.
Use the screws, they make a better and tighter connection to the wire. The holes just use a spring to hold the wire against a flat surface inside the receptacle.
If the box itself is broke, you will need to repair it with screws, nails, glue, whatever it takes to hold it together. Then you will need to use the equipment needed to mount it to the wall (screws, nails, etc.) making sure that these pieces are not broken as well. If the holes in the wall have gapped, it will either need to be repositioned or you will need to fill in the holes and start over.
