Motor nerves allow the brain to stimulate muscle contraction. A motor nerve is an efferent nerve that exclusively contains the axons of somatic and branchial motoneurons, which innervate skeletal muscles (that ensure locomotion) and branchial muscles (that motorize the face and neck).

Sensory nerves carry nerve impulses from the sense organs (eyes, skin, ears, nose and tongue) to the central nervous system.

Motor nerves then carry those impulses from the central nervous system to muscles and glands (like a reflex)

This is how the body reacts to stimulus such as heat and noise
