Sharks defend themselves by using their teeth. They also can swim away very fast. They can also bump into their predator to catch them off guard, then attack. They are also known to fake out their predator.
Sharks come in many different sizes (varying from babies to adults), shapes and subj to to the type of shark they are can use several different defence mechanisms. These mechanisms can include hiding, swimming away fast, camoflage and finally in rare cases they could attempt to bite their attacker with their teeth. While sharks can be sometimes be impressive predators only the biggest are at the top of the food chain and thus immune from being eaten by something else.
