Snakes do have a stomach. They do not have a diaphragm. However, their stomach is right under the esophagus. These are both highly stretchable on the snake, this is how they are able to eat things that are larger than they are.

If you caught a wild life snake then he won't eat unless you let him go. If it is not a wild life snake, well then he will eat when he is hungry.

they use their teeth to hook onto the prey and then slowly swallow it. after this process is complete (within hrs), then the snake moves slowly to digest it's food
